Wha!? I think rich hall is often funny, occasionally mercurial.

I think it's all about the balance of comedy. Non-comedy geniuses have to have a balance. So they can be mercurial at times, but they have to be average->good a lot to balance it out.

Like bill bailey is always very funny, but rarely drop dead hilarious.

Any videos of rich hall singing his song on room 101 about his childhood? One of the lines is about him being molested "so i turned right around and molested him back". The chorus goes something like "if i have to spell it out in lies(?), well darlin if it makes it right, i'm a big piece of shite."

So he got some of his moves from Bill Bailey, David Bowie, James Brown, and Bob Fosse.


I guess his only true invention is his perverted crouch grab while wearing a sequin covered glove.

I enjoyed this but... it's not that funny. Still it's always tempting to upvote Bill Bailey and the context isn't really clear from a short clip.
And as a Radiohead fan I really do detest this song. I'm glad they hardly seem to play it.
