Teen Accidently Dunks Himself During a Basketball Game

Carly Rae Jepsen Throws Terrible First Pitch

lucky760 says...

It matters not what the Mythbusters episode was about. To re-reiterate, all I was talking about was the posture of a boy's throw versus the posture of a girl's throw.

I can't understand what's so unclear about that. I stated in my original comment that females tend to "look" different than boys when throwing. That's all I'm talking about: the look.

Rick Barry made a high percentage of free throws shooting underhand, which means he was great at it, but his shooting posture still looks different than most every other basketball player's.

But weren't they looking at "throw like a girl" to be an insult? Where as you mentioned, the pro female pitcher clearly still "threw like a girl", she had the accuracy and power for it to not matter

8 Months pregnant woman tasered by police

enoch says...

@VoodooV
years ago police and sherrifs were part of the community.they lived next door.they went to church and participated in local social events.
so incidents like this were a rarity.

and cops were held accountable by the community.
i remember as a teen playing basketball at a friends house and watching a group of men walking with purpose to a cops house who lived right down the road.

being teens and super curious we followed the men.
now for quite some time it had been known that this officer was fond of stopping young women and frisking them for no apparent reason other than to grope them.since there was no actual evidence nothing was ever done about it concerning discipline towards this officer.

so these fathers decided to do something about it.

they were calm.
they were collected.
and they told the cop to get out of their neighborhood.
leave.
and that if the cop ever touched another young girl they would pull him out by his feet and humiliate him in front of his family.(which was awesome)

the cop laughed it off with false bravado and refused to leave.

here is where it got interesting.
people started to shun this cop and his family.
nobody would do business with him.not locally at least.
they wouldnt sit near him at church.
his kids didnt get invited to parties or any social events.

and within a month he moved his family to conneticut.
no violence.
no harsh words.
the neighborhood just shut his family out.

but those days of cops being part of the community are gone.cops have become revenue officers who represent the power of the state.the cops of old who joined the force out of duty has been replaced with egomaniacs and violence addicts.(not all mind you).

so we get incidents like we see here in this video.
shame really.

whats even MORE shameful is to read the muppets who blame the victim for violence.
"if she had just complied"
"if she hadnt worn that skirt"
"if they had just remained silent and not spoken up"

then what?
slink away in shame and silence?
THATS your answer?

a police officer should always be held to a higher degree of integrity.
of professionalism.according to you muppets its the other way around and it is WE,the citizen, who must anticipate the inherent violence and submit with a timid whimper.

do what your told.
sit down.
shut up.
obey.
muppets.
the lot of ya.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner! I just saw this.

I actually prefer to watch videos of highlights. I find a whole game on tv a little difficult to sit through...but I go to basketball games in Toronto sometimes to see the Raptors play. That's always fun. I haven't been for a couple of years though.

Are you into NBA? If so, then which team(s)? I am a Lakers fan even though they sucked badly for the last few seasons.

Opposing Team Player Displays True Sportsmanship

CreamK says...

Happens more often than you know in football, takes certain kind to skip this kind of chance (could've made a goal but both sides would dislike him for that). But it's unwritten rule, opponent gets hurt, you kick the ball over the closest sideline. No rule forces you to do so. If the opponent is really hurt, the ref can stop the game to let medics come in to the field, the play then continues from that place after the player is carried off the field.. If that happens and the offending team has the ball and freekick, it's also customary to just kick the ball long to opponent goalie. I've seen it happen where both teams are trying to give the ball to the opponent, both sides think it's fair if the other one starts..

This kind of gentlemen behavior is one the biggest reasons i like the football,, something that all sports that are big in the USA don't have (basketball, "football" aka handball, hockey...) Baseball might be the only one that has similar attitude but then again, that's not really a contact sport.. There are exceptions, occasions where even in the bloodiest sports fair play happens, similar to this video but in football this happens in every game (in not so tempting situation..)

Frustrating yet relieved to see that the western world is finally noticing the terrible condition these North Koreans live under. As a Korean American I had access to Korean news during the 90s and I remember hearing these horror stories in North Korea, and yet no other First World countries cared enough for this region politically to do anything about it. Hell, if Dennis Rodman can meet the goddamn leader of North Korea, how hard can it be to send a few bowls of porridge into the country? Fucking hell.

The founder and CEO of Hyundai motor group was himself born and raised in North Korea who had immigrated south just before the Korean war began, and he personally spent millions of his personal money to send 1000 full grown cows to north Korea by the truckload, and convince the North Korean leaders to open their borders and accept US/South Korean aid in. That was the 90s she was talking about. Fucking Cows man. Basketball players and Cows.

To this day we have North Korean refugees in China selling their bodies to make ends meet, and little children pickpocketing in the street. This is not some history lesson. This is an on going news coverage.

How to Handle the Police When You're Videotaping

chingalera says...

Good morning.....So VoodooV, simply not a good person...

One might imagine that you've mistaken paranoid rage for a genuine concern for the people who must suffer the damaged, soon beyond-repair law-enforcement establishment in the U.S. While I can't vouch for many municipalities, I have dealt with law enforcement in multiple states since I was old enough to drive a car.
Texas has an inordinate amount of assholes in law enforcement, which has sullied or otherwise affected my opinion of peace officers (that term an oxi-moron for millions of people who have had to deal with profiling, unprovoked aggression, and general douche-baggery from the hind-brained, alpha-or-wannabe-alpha victims of abuse and racism who choose a career in "law enforcement".

We have several versions of cops here, Sheriffs, constables, state troopers, city police, game wardens, etc., all with their privilege and jurisdictions, all with varying levels of professionalism and personalities some of which are synonymous with their particular group.
I maintain, that In ALL of these branches of law enforcement due to corruption and abuse of power as the rule for over 50 years combined with the systematic granting of more and more powers to state over individual rights that the SYSTEM is inherently corrupt and anti-human rights. I have come to this conclusion in my dealings with them personally and by paying attention to the fucking world without blinders and outside of the insular framework of my own perception of how i would LIKE the world to be.

What is your personal experience in dealing with law enforcement robots? Where do you live? What is your station in life economically, socially. Are you Caucasian or a minority? All these questions beg an answer because I suppose that your exposure to the world outside of the comfort of your CONSTRUCT, is causing this consternation and judgement vomited-forth in your last comment, and I would hate to have some skewed opinion of you based on your reaction to mine on issues that have EVERYTHING to do with human rights, justice, blah blah blah, all the shit that's important to people like us, schmoes slaving for paper-tickets to buy more play-time in the world created while you were fast-fucking asleep.

Fix it instead of whining like a spoiled brat??
Well sir, when you live in a country with the majority of peeps fast-asleep with their heads up movie-stars and basketball-player's asses whose political system is a fucking joke and her government co-opted by corporate and security interests then civil disobedience or heaven-forbid, UNCIVIL should the situation necessitate is about the only reasonable, actionable, effective solution for me.
Malcolm X was right, rich, sociopathic white people suck donkey balls and run the whole fucking show.

Would you like to have a discussion on the state of the Prison system in the United States? Hand-in-hand with the men in blue are the men in brown who would, that the current model be expanded and improved upon....It's broken and you have an opinion,??
