Gary McKinnon protest at the British Home Office in London
*promote
AS REPORTED by the BBC 17 October 2012, the decision by Home Secretary Theresa May to block the extradition of British computer hacker Gary McKinnon to the US is scrutinized by the UK press with most overjoyed that Captain Asperger gets to skate on having hoses and wires connected to him should he be hauled to the United States and made an offer he might be unable to refuse....More on this broken story, as it envelops!
The Big Bang Theory - No Laugh Track 1 (Avoiding the Shamy)
I thought the first two seasons were funny, when Sheldon's Asperger quirkiness was pretty amusing. But now that show has run its course, they got nowhere to go with it. Sheldon and Amy say nothing but stupid long-winded sitcom punchlines that definitely need a laugh track.

Aspergers is probably more self-diagnosed than properly diagnosed.

I feel about aspergers like I do about ADD. It's largely falsely diagnosed by stupid doctors.
I'm not saying it's not a real thing, but it's very "easy" to convince yourself that you have aspergers if you're antisocial, no you don't, you're just a dick.
That said, this is a very nice video.
It's often not diagnosed at all because it is so hard to. A diagnosis can take years to pin down. ADD is definitely over-diagnosed and medicated.
Probably, but if those people are diagnosing themselves just through being anti-social, then they truly are retarded

My children (girls) are blessed with 'normality' but I intend for them to see this different point of view, so that they are aware that 'normal' isn't necessarily normal. Viva la Diversidasd!

music
Kudos to Lady Gaga for allowing the rights to that song at the end.
I'm going to hazard a guess and say that she wasn't even consulted, the BBC has a music buyout agreement with the majority of the record companies, which allows them to use all their music, royalty free.
Still an appropriate song none the less, its not just for queers

Thank you dear Boise! It wasn't the easiest thing, using something so personal to submit, but after all this talk about people with disabilities lately, and the fact that this is a huge step in his understanding, I felt like I should and could. Thanks again

Good for you, the earlier the better. My son was finally diagnosed as Asperger's at about 8 and having him and everyone around him aware of his differences, abilities and disabilities allowed him to develop coping strategies and minimize the stresses and anxieties he was experiencing. He's now an above average student in university.
Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog - Hilarious gameplay
>> ^Skeeve:
A warning from personal experience: this is a "Digital Combat Simulator" and not a game.
I tend to be pretty detail oriented, I like flight sims and love the A-10 but after about 45 minutes of this program I was done.
I think this program could be used as a diagnostic tool to confirm if someone has asperger syndrome.
Eh, it's not that complicated. The quickstart guide and the tutorials tell you all you need to know to start flying missions. Maybe 5 hours total to get up to speed on flying this thing. Many hours more to master the aircraft, but to just get started? Only a few hours and the tutorials are pretty fun too.

Living With Autism - A Wonderful Story
Dude has aspergers and still has more friends than me. Good on him though for challenging himself to enjoy life more and stay involved in his passion, flight.
