Having just heard both of the songs, I actually prefer the movie version. He's a worse singer, certainly, but the album one that @Duckman33 seems too polished to me. I like the super campy style and "roughness" of the movie version.

I have to say, I am NOT a fan of this version of the song. The singing, at least. The studio album was so much better. I think it's one of the only performances in this I prefer in the albums to the movie (Other than the goofy voices of the pharises.. phar.. However that goes.)



My problem with this version is he puts absolutely no emotion or feeling into the song. It sounds robotic and stiff like he's just going through the motions and really isn't enjoying singing it at all.

P.S. Alice Cooper recorded a demo of this song for the original soundtrack too. I didn't like his version much either.

I didn't see him until after he climbed on the wagon...but he sounded completely different by that time. For one thing, he could sing on key...actually, by the time I saw him, he'd proven to have an extremely good voice (at least when he wanted to).

LOL yes, I actualy found one where hw sounded so BAD and looked so strung out I didnt even post it, saw him live as well in the 80's and by then he had straightened up some, best concert Ive ever been to to this day. <3 Alice! His outfit in this clip intrigued me lol

I forgot all about this song, they played the crap out of it on the radio back then. I saw Suzi open up for Alice Cooper at Madison Square Garden in 1975, she rocked the house.
