How do you not put Alan Alda in the Tags?!

It might be dead, but it's the best Alan Alda impression I've ever seen.

Alan Alda was the second man I ever fell in love with. I say Alan Alda, and this was progress, because the first man I fell in love with was Spock (and not Leonard Nimoy).

I think he summed it up rather well. Mash was the first show I can remember that combined comedy with realistic characters in a horrific setting. While the show was absolutely hilarious, there were always the occasional reminders of the ugly reality it was based on.


This, Buffy, and Monty Python are the only DVD sets I'll ever need.

One of my favorites, second only to Alan Alda's appearance on the show.

Who knew Alan Alda could sing? Actually, they had us watch this a few times in early elementary school (mid to late 70s) and I had the album.

Alan Alda stayed away from almost all post-MASH stuff.

Later in this episode a presidential hopeful played by Alan Alda says a great thing when he downplays them burning a flag. "you wouldn't see this trick in China, they don't even have a bill of rights."
