If You Detonated a Nuclear Bomb In The Marianas Trench

Lambozo says...

You all are right to call BS on this video. Its trash.

The earthquake that caused the 2004 tsunami in Sumatra released a total of 9 600 000 megatons of energy....that's a bit more than 50 megatons. I don't know though, I'm not a math major.

This earthquake didn't make new continents, nor did it cause an ice age by pushing earth a significant distance away from the sun. So I'm going to guess that neither would this bomb.

The portion of the 2004 earthquake's total energy that was released on the surface of the sea floor was only 26 megatons and it was released a lot less quickly than the detonation of the Tsar bomba, I'll give ya that.

Probably generate a Tsunami, but not a large one. Large natural tsunamis, like those in 2004 and 2011, are generated by very sudden movement of the ocean floor over a large area; the 2004 Sumatra quake lifted the sea floor several meters, very rapidly, along a 1600 km long section of fault, displacing a total of 30 cubic kilometers of water. Google "what does a cubic kilometer look like". Its a lot of water.

Not sure if the bomb can move that much water at a single site; I don't think it replicates the right "mechanics" of large scale tsunami generation....

If there is a god and a hell i pray that the crew of the Enola Gay writhes in screaming agony for all eternity.
9/11 is just the first installment on the Payback for the unspeakable abominations that you have inflicted on the world over the last 200+ years.
The world will cheer at your demise.

Firstly there is no god, only the tyranny of evil men.

Secondly I agree with joe dirt, the Allies will always try to cover their asses for such a dasterdly use of the bomb to show stalin their true power.

Which russia would take steps further to drop the worlds largest nuke called the tsar bomba - King Bomb with 50 megatons.

Lets put it into perspective.

Little boy was 13 - 18 kilotons
fat man was 21 kilotons

Tsar bomba was 50 Megatons. the two little ones don't even come close to the big one.

The bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima were little compared to the monstrosities that we have stocked up today.

What was it for? Its all a waste.

1 food calorie is really a kilo-calorie of chemistry persuasion, each of which is 4.184 joules.

An explosion equivalent to 1 megaton (a small hydrogen bomb) is equivalent to 4.184×10^15 Joules (source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TNT_equivalent )

So, 4.184×10^15 / (170 * 1000 * 4.184) = 5.8824 x 10^9 Ranchero Chicken Soft Tacos. (i.e. 6 billion, i.e. one delicious taco for everyone on Earth.)

A Tzar Bomba, at 50 megatons, would be 50 tacos for everyone on Earth. And an epidemic of scurvy.

Wikipedia notes that carbohydrates have higher energy density than TNT, so if you actually measured nuclear explosions in mega-tons of tacos, it would be a smaller number than mega-tons of TNT.
