Is a nuclear armed North Korea? Russia? US? Seems to be alot of tolerance for that there. A state a believe far more willing to put its entire population at nuclear apocalypse.

No nation attains nuclear weapons for the purpose of using them anymore. It just doesn't make sense politically, ever since the US detonated the Hiroshima bomb and the nuclear arms race of the Cold War that nuclear weapons simply exist as means of deterrence. First strike policy is not pursued by any state because its admission and allowance to be attacked first preemptively. Thus everyone claims base deterrence use.

I don't find it acceptable that Israel has UNDECLARED nuclear weapons still and somehow that is okay. The threat of them striking Iran is just as great in my eyes. Shit they bombed Syria and Iraq just for the smallest whiff of nuclear capability. But what kind of action is that? How is that acceptable.

Further more your entire line about Iranians being made into anti-Israel haters flies in face of the protests taking place now trying to depose a president who was clearly illegally placed into power and has spent the last 4 years doing nothing but talking garbage. I don't know why people are so willing to think Bush was retarded in his foreign policy assessments and somehow take Iran's president seriously.

Here, I'd disagree with you. I don't think the issue is allowing free market to handle health care, but rather the federal regulations in emergency medicine have become the issue. Things like HMOs were the result of government intervention which injected corporatism into our health care market. Remember, the marketplace didn't create corporations, the government did.

It's no secret Pharmaceutical companies have colluded with policy makers to stop the reimport of drugs from foreign countries which would save us loads in pharmaceutical costs alone. Congress needs to cut its subsidies to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, because they're not helping to make the costs more affordable, that's for sure.

The list goes on and on and on. The point is this. Everything we do in the form of labor is considered to be done for profit. That's how you create incentives for production, and this carries into the emergency medicine arena as well. Doctors aren't there for their health (pun intended). If you allow people to negotiate terms with health care providers, the costs will surely go down like they were in the 1960s before the large government oversight that started in the 70s (i.e., 1974 ERISA law).

It's stuff like this that makes me know we'll have teleportation one day. If you told somebody in 1920 that we'd make it to the moon, they'd have called you crazy. Or update it: If you told somebody in 1974, that one day they have their entire music and video catalogue able to fit on something size of a postage stamp...you get where I'm going with this.

We're going to have spaceships, holodecks, teleporters, lightsabers, "babel fish"; all kinds of cool radical shit.

in 1974 you have: lou reed and the velvet underground, the ny dolls, the kinks, stevie wonder, jackson 5, the rolling stones, frank zappa, patti smith, aretha franklin, david bowie, eric clapton, rod stewart, led zepplin, johnny cash, paul simon, neil young, bob dylan, and the waning days of the beatles... sure really really good things came before, but 74 seems like the perfect blending point of old and new. where the forces that were powerhouses and founding fathers of rock n roll met and mingled with the new wave and poof...
