We all know them and love them. I'm going to fill this list with all the best Looney Tunes on the Sift.

The Sift is home to some great guitar pickers young and old. I particularly love the old country styles.

This list will mostly lean (hopefully) toward a Piedmont, mountain style that's my personal favorite, but there are modern, bluegrass and Mississippi Delta blues examples here too. Oh, and Chet Atkins will be here no matter what style he's playing.

Get yourself a plate of greens,fatback,cornbread, a glass of buttermilk and enjoy.

The Roaring Twenties....the birth of Jazz, the Charleston,the great depression, discovery of King Tut's tomb, radio, "talkies".... You'll either see some of it here or you will eventually.

Ahhhh, the best of the best of Jazz, Swing, and Big Band lives here...there are or will be clips from the Silver Screen as well.

This the decade that brought us TV,rock and roll, baby boomers and roger corman ;) The roots of our pop culture today stems from this time period.

The decade of my teens...what can I say? My hair...huge, my jeans..acid washed, my member's only jacket....pink. ;-)

Dozens of probationary member's sifts vanish away in the queue without much notice. Some come back and try again, but many just don't have the strength or will to try again.

It doesn't have to be this way......With your help these Newbies can get the support they need to survive. Just one vote per day could make a difference. We waste so much more than that in one visit. You CAN make a difference.

In the time it took you to read this introduction, a newbie sift could have already died.
