The book was literally dictated by God. It was a book to base your actions and your expectations of your neighbor's actions. Why is context important? Are you sure you don't mean your own morality in the 21st century is important? ... in which case you're agreeing with what he says at the end of his little speech; completely ignoring some parts of what God literally told you to do/not to do and closely following other parts is encouraged, because a lot of what God dictated is pretty wild now-a-days.
