I played drums for Feral Children on "The Second to Last Frontier" which scott recorded in seattle. I don't play with them anymore. I never listened to Animal Collective but after meeting scott i did, and it's pretty obvious the rest of the guys were influenced by it... AC is waaaay better overall, truly unique.

I like this song, I respect Animal Collective for what they do, using the samplers and all but I'm a huge sucker for Noah's (Panda Bear) "solo" stuff much more. That kid has it down. And as far as I know they don't really even consider themselves musicians in the way that they're like - "oh, the next chord is an A minor" which I also find interesting. Lot's of good stuff come from folks with that mindset and some creative flair.
