Facebook adds HD Video
With very little in the way of an announcement Facebook has introduced HD video playback and embeds for users videos. The interface for uploads is bearbones, and has lots of room for improvement, but the quality is quite good and considering that the only other comparable service, Vimeo charges for it's "Plus" HD services this is a sweet free alternative to get your HD video on the web.

Doesn't Vimeo and Dailymotion support HD video for free already?
Vimeo moved the HD side of uploads and embeds to their new Plus service so it's no longer free. That said their pay service is quite good for the price, gives you TONS of upload space (5GB per week) and priority encoding times.
As far as Dailymotion, I don't know.
good information to know
Definitely check out Dailymotion though.
Facebook is just ACK in general.
