Yuri-1, The Human-Powered Helicopter

There's a quarter-million dollars up for the first person to create a human-powered helicopter the will hover above 6 meters for 60 seconds.
The current world record for human powered helicopter flight was set in 1994 by a team from Nihon University in Japan. The team, led by Prof. Akira Naito, built Yuri I. The four-prop aircraft hovered at an altitude of 0.2 meters for more than 19 seconds.
