What This Superconductor Means For Nuclear Fusion

New high temperature super conductors are a major efficiency breakthrough for nuclear fusion.
By allowing more efficient production of high energy magnetic fields in smaller designs, both required scale and efficiency can be dramatically improved, leading to much cheaper, more efficient designs than current test reactors. If successful, the improvements are expected to attract funding to build cheaper, smaller, functioning reactors and accelerate the field that always seems to be 30 years away from results.
