JAPRsays...Shit is pretty crazy. I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, but it's definitely something that has me paying attention.
legacy0100says...First the Gnats (fleas) and now pestilence (Swine flu).
What next, horde of frogs and hail of fire?
srdsays...Still taking bets on how long it will take Bachmann to figure out that this is how Obama is going to fill his reducation camps.
Oh, and some people say that washing hands makes you catch the gay. No offense.
silvercordsays...We need to know all this, yes, but is she all there? Seriously.
vairetubesays...... no one remembers .. THE SARS?
remember how that went no where because it is... just not that big a deal?
you're more likely to die from reading this post then to even get swine flu.
srdsays...All the panicy plague outbreaks I can remember. Ebola, Lhasa Fever, BSE, the list goes on. And the media stance always is "We don't want to scare anybody but BOOGIEBOOGIEBOO!". The outbreaks are clearly tragic for the people involved and the public should be informed but lets keep the alarmist panicmongering to a realistic minimum please?

I always thought it went nowhere because it was publically recognized, proper precautions were taken and it was swiftly dealt with?
I'm certainly not going to argue that the media does not carry these things too far, but this is the among the sort of things the news industry (is supposed to) exist for.
sweetlimesays...In America....
1260 people die a day from heart attacks.
115 people die a day from car accidents.
45 people are murdered every day.
20 cases of a curable flu? Yup, this is definitely a public health emergency.
johnald128says...i haven't watched the video as to not scare myself silly. but it is worth noting the speed at which this has arisen, and how far globally it's spread so quickly. extreme estimates have been that 120 million people could die from this, at the moment that seems unlikely to us.. well regardless, one of these days such a virus will wipe out massive populations most likely. best to not let it bother you but then at the same time take note when something like this happens, better safe than sorry (just best not to dwell on it).
LostTurntablesays...Has anyone mentioned that there was a Swine Flu outbreak in the 1970s? The vaccine killed more people than the damn virus. Everyone's acting like this is Captain Tripps. STFU and wash your hands.
