Anyone who appreciates Japanese cinema knows who Toshiro Mifune is. Some critics say he is over the top, but screw them. Here is a great tribute to a great actor and his career.

I'm actually a lot more into Japanese rock and indie than Japanese movies, but I have seen Kurosawa's the Seven Samurai, which he was in, and it was an EXCELLENT film. I definitely need to check out more of his stuff.

Yojimbo should also be required viewing. A film so good Sergio Leone remade it scene by scene as A Fistful of Dollars.

Holy shit, I'm watching Tengoku to Jigoku (High and Low) right now and this guy is a great actor indeed.
