In and of themselves, not a whole lot. The cold winters in Europe and the UK were due to unusual wind currents drawing cold air from the Arctic to the south, while warming the Arctic.

The hot summers don't prove a whole lot either, except that if the 8 of the last 10 summers were hotter than average and spring has been coming earlier every year, you might start to suspect something is up.>> ^marinara:
