This Tooth-Covered Cephalopod is Looking for a Snack

This deepsea Octopus (or Squid) was filmed in the depths of the Gulf of Mexico by a work class ROV. At first we believed this to be a Cirrate Octopus, but now we believe it to be a Vampire Squid/Umbrella Squid. Its limbs were covered with thousands of sharp, curved teeth and it preferred to float around in an umbrella-like posture. It had a three foot wingspan, so if it is a Vampire Squid that would be a new record.
