The COMPLETE Guide to Playing the Medic - TF2

Here is yet another guide showing you how to play as the medic class in Team Fortress 2, except this one is VERY thorough. There are invaluable tips for medic players, beginner to expert. This is a must-see video for TF2 players as it expounds upon the tips in the previously sifted video. There is some great music that goes with it too, so it's enjoyable and educational. Around 8 minutes through the tips you get to see how the real medics use the bonesaw and syringe gun.

Props to Lurch for posting the first medic vid (http://www.videosift.com/video/TF2-How-to-Play-the-Medic). This one pretty much covers every aspect of how to play and gets into the specifics of which classes are best for uber-charging and which classes are best to run away from completely. This is almost as enjoyable to watch as my other medic vid (http://www.videosift.com/video/The-Grand-Journey-of-the-Medic-TF2) so if you like that one you'll dig this too.

EDIT: I forgot to post the link to the original video at Stage6: http://www.stage6.com/user/Rodriquezz/video/2033155/TF2---How-to-play-the-Medic Great quality with fullscreen.

Nice little video, illustrates some good advanced techniques. I am by no means a great at TF2, but I quickly learned survival is the name of the game when it comes to playing a medic. It's been hard, but I've learned not to follow someone I'm healing into a hail of bullets, explosions and certain death. Also if you're being healed, it helps to keep an eye on your medic, they tend to be the first ones targeted (and rightly so)

by the way, steam stats show that medic is the least-played class: http://www.steampowered.com/status/tf2/tf2_stats.php
there's lots of stats one might find of interest.

as a TF2 player myself, I'm proud to have the most time played of all classes as a medic. and although I do like the combat and action and occasionally switch to offense, for some reason I feel that the more sophisticated and intelligent players usually opt for the medic, cause it does take some brains to provide that necessary backup.
for me this was a really nice, heart-warming vid. cheers!
