I remember hearing a story on perspective and how important your vantage point is.
In the example people were asked to say wether an object was moving or lying still.
I think it was a coffee cup on a table.
So of course most people said it was not moving, except for the few who tried some smarty pants answers like "well the atoms on the molecular level blah blah blah..."
The revelating bit on perspective came when people were asked to place themselves on the surface of the sun looking straight at the earth. From that perspective the coffee cup (and everything else as well of course) would zoom past you at 67.000 miles per hour...
