When I was a child, playing with my G.I. Joe, and I saw that footage of the soldiers throwing their medals away. Even though I didn't know the meaning of the words, I was shocked and appalled.

What man in his right mind would throw away a shiny medal like that?

Now that I'm older, I can see, that they were the real heroes of the war.
