Sauce for the Sgt is NOT Sauce for the Sgt Major

Actually, an omitted scene, this would have been my favorite scene of the movie. I imagine the contextual elusivity of the scene for some lent to its exclusion. That contextual vagary is alleviated by the viewing of the movie. The story is historically based and the characters real. This scene is anecdotal of the Sergeant Major portrayed by Sam Elliot.

Paybacksaid:

"Good morning" is not an observation, it's a greeting. The person is hoping the other is having, or at least will have, a good morning.

Not really, It is how the comment is presented. It could have been presented as a statement of fact or even a question. It wasn't.

Also, that scene is in every version of the movie I have seen, dont think its omitted.

Not a omitted scene, it's a little over 9 minutes into the film. The copy I own at least. Just watched that much of it to be sure I hadn't confused it with another, similar scene. Same one. Great clip though.
