SXSW - Jack White and Seasick Steve Parking Lot Performance

NPR got the scoop on a parking lot performance at SXSW by Jack White himself to promote his new Third Man label:

"But let's cut to the chase: Jack White hopped out of the truck to perform two songs, one from Buddy Holly and the other, a White Stripes tune, "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground."

White also introduced a new Third Man recording artist, Seasick Steve, who appropriately played the blues on just three strings."

Man, Jack sucks live. One of my favourite recording artists of all time, but he just doesn't trust his own music enough. He always thinks he has to add vocal frills to his perfectly arranged recorded versions. I can't stand any of his live stuff.
