God, I hope she runs! And I REALLY hope she gets the nom (which she won't). But I want her in there somewhere purely for entertainment value.

"She's too smart to run"

No, she just employs a smart person to tell her not to run. The sad thing though is that that statement really isn't too far from the truth though. The system is such that the presidency does not attract the best and brightest, merely the most ambitious.

I was going to say that the Democrats want her to run so badly since her brand of crazy would pretty much guarantee a Democrat win, but since there has yet to be a serious Republican contender yet, (Maybe Ron Paul), I'm not sure the Democrats care if she runs or not anymore.

Regardless of what you think of Palin, good or bad, a smart person has to acknowledge that she is simply too polarizing. Sure, a ton of people thinks she is the bee's knees, but just as many people, if not more, think she is a complete and total idiot and I'm sure a number of people would come out to vote only to vote against her. Even many conservatives despise her.

That's no way to lead a country. IMO, the only republican candidate that has a shot currently is Ron Paul. He's the only candidate that I'm aware of so far that has a significant number of both R and D supporters

I don't consider that a sexist comment, I think it is an accurate assessment of her appeal to a portion of the population who aren't the greatest critical thinkers.

Having said that... I am beginning to see signs of aging. A looseness to the neck skin. A tiredness to the eyes. A thinning of the lips.

I wonder if she sees it, too, and realizes that if she doesn't run now, she won't be able to run in four years. She will have lost her best playing card with the unthinking masses.

I think she is a lot smarter than she is given credit for. I also think she is much much meaner than she is credited with.

And I think she will become irrelevant as she ages.

That kind of thing usually pisses me off. But since she got here because of her looks, then I am perfectly fine with her looks being the reason she GOES AWAY.
