Some college idiots get a hold of some magnesium shavings and light 'em up. No one gets hurt, but they're lucky they didn't burn the whole damn neighborhood down. And in case you didn't know, water only makes a magnesium fire worse.
EDIT: One additional nugget of info: Magnesium fires burn so brightly that they can temporarily or even permanently damage your retinas, depending on how long you view the flames. Those of you with chemistry backgrounds know this to be true. I remember having to wear a welding mask when I viewed a magnesium fire in chemistry class. Of course the video itself is safe to view because it filters out the blinding light, but these dumbasses had no such protection for their eyes. Morons. Definitely an Eia video.

messengersays...I used to make little fires with the stuff on sparklers. I've heard that's magnesium, but what do I know. Just that it burns very very bright, and doesn't go out until it's good and ready.
bovansays...oh well, darwin's will get them eventually..
syncronsays...I'm assuming they failed chemistry.

krumzysays...not 100% sure but from what i remember in chem class you aren't supposed to look at the ... oh wait nvm its in the description ... yea, definitely burned some retinas.
And when you put magnesium in water it releases hydrogen, so that explains the explosions when the retards sprayed water on it.
