Rand Paul to Jack Conway: "Have you no shame?"

Snap.
RadHazGsays...

I have much respect for the man but unfortunately as long as we make our religious beliefs part of the candidates "bullet points" I have to respond that if you want to run for higher office, if you want to be in charge of vastly important decisions in this world, then I have to ask... if you believe that a demonstrably cruel, jealous, irrational, murderously inconsistent being based on a work of obvious fiction runs everything we see... just how grounded will the rest of your decisions be?

Now obviously this is unfair to most of our office holders but they obviously are just cherry picking what they want and leaving the rest behind. The implications however remain that if you can believe this stuff, what else could you be made to believe? Beliefs *are* as important as actions because our actions are fueled *by* what we believe. As long as you want to make your beliefs part of your resume for office, they should and I hope will be cannon fodder for your opponents, just like what you believe about the economy or foreign policy.

Side note: this is more about the subject of beliefs/religion in politics and is no judgment on any of Rand Paul's other political views. Just his religious ones.

the next purposeful progression society and culture needs to take, is to never allow anyone's excuses to be based on religion. if you want to be a hateful and/or fearful human being, blame yourself, and not pretend there's a god dictating your patheticness.
