music would still exsist without religoin , religoin is not directly responsable for music, you might say the music about the specific gods and things would not exsist without religoin but i would say that music of equal value that wasent bassed on compleat nonsence would have filled the void. so with no religoin we would have had better spiritual music without dogma crap than we have now.

Oh, there are good sides to religion.Music, art, architecture have all been made in the name of God for the longest time, but like westy says it would have happened anyway, just in a different form. We have the music, art etc. we have now in part because of religions. Still, like the snake sheds its skin, we ought to have grown sufficiently to shed our childlike beliefs and become adults.
