Obama "there's nothing that we would have done differently."
Jaacesays...

I guess we forgot about Bush already, eh neo-cons?

You elected Bush TWICE. I don't want to hear ANY complaints** until after Obama has been in office for a full 8 years and nothing has gotten better and everything has gotten worse.

So shaddup.

** Not that we shouldn't criticize him...but this stuff isn't gonna happen overnight. Technically the job loss started under Bush and hasn't been repaired yet. Blame the right person plz.

I agree, but I find the vid humorous ...and loved the title.

and I'm getting tired of hearing "but Bush started it" all the time.. yes, that's widely acknowledged. But the actions taken since the Obamadministration stepped into office haven't, as this video is trying to say, done any good - in fact, they've worsened things. I don't know enough to say that's entirely true, but it definitely seems to be the case.. although I'll wait to see what NetRunner and other Obamapologists have to say.

RedSkysays...

Without the fiscal stimulus there's good reason to believe the unemployment rate would have climbed even higher. That higher unemployment could have been the catalyst for another vicious cycle of further unemployment and so on. In the middle of the crisis, the current unemployment level is not the status quo, it's where it's heading if nothing is done.

Unemployment has been shown throughout history to recover slowly. This has obvious reasons, some discouraged workers simply don't re-enter or may not be able to. Employers are hesitant to hire new employees early when they're uncertain of the outlook of the economy because the cost of firing them would be high if they had to. The main point, it's simply a fact that it takes several years at the least based on prior data.

Wasteful spending? Partly subjective and partly completely ludicrous hypocrisy coming from the GOP.
