I've seen that trick before, but I can't put my finger on it exactly.

SPOILER:

Well executed, but you can see the 'knife blade' stuck to the back of his right hand at 00:04.

STILL MORE SPOILER:

Also, you can just see the way he holds that hand, very self consciously making sure he keeps the back of the hand to the back of the room the entire time.

So, yeah, not brilliant, and not nearly enough reaction from him on 'stabbing' himself.

But not bad.
