Mike Gravel on the Democratic Party and Media Censorship

Mike Gravel has not been invited to a Democratic Debate since he called out Hillary Clinton on her vote in the Senate to allow Bush to go to war with Iran.
He held an alternative debate in October of 2007 and here is part of the entire exchange.

upvoted for most, if not all, the 2nd half.

the first part, i saw before, and though he's mostly right, it's also a tug of guilt trip, and those i don't like.

i like mike. but i think if he spent more of what (granted, little) time he had, in the debates, endorsing something?
rather than playing the angry old man card?
he'd have come off looking a lot more appealling, to a lot of us, real quick.

Well.. as I see it.. he's been fighting a corrupt system for over 44 years now. He even had to filibuster for 5 months straight just to end the draft for the Vietnam war... I'd be plenty pissed off too seeing history repeat itself yet again and now with the media owned by just a few very powerful corporations that have ties to the military industrial complex.

Out of the queue, and I think Constitutional_Patriot has a point. If you deal with ugly things long enough it does start to get to you. He's got good points but the anger is sometimes too close to the surface which is something I can sympathize with myself these days.
