Subaru driver Mark Higgins set a new lap record at the Isle of Man TT Road Course earlier this month in a lightly prepped 2015 WRX STI. Subaru told us about the time, then later released a highlight video. On Friday it uploaded the start-to-finish clip to its YouTube channel.
Higgins completed the 37-mile course in just 19 minutes and 15 seconds, besting his own record from 2011.
The U.S.-spec car got an FIA roll cage, racing seat and harness, fire suppression system, springs and dampers and Dunlop Direzza tires.
After setting the record Higgins stated, "Setting the record was both the most exhilarating and the most frightening thing I have ever done." This video proves his point nicely.
