Its quite clear now that these men are war criminals, is it not? These treacherous liars have forsaken the last shreds of human decency that they ever posessed. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead, they're fucking dead, because of men like this. I have been so deeply ashamed that I am an American for so long now that I can't even remember what it feels like to be proud of your nation at all.

His argument, which he repeats, is literally that we should have focused on not allowing terrorists to gain a foothold by NOT focusing on protecting Iraqi civilians and building the state government we tore down. In other words, his argument is that the American army should have been hunting down an unlimited number of terrorist/extremist groups while the people of Iraq fractioned off into independent state and pseudo-government councils run by the majority religious figures of the areas.

... so, he's basically admitting he didn't know what he was doing, and still has not learned a goddamn thing. A 12 year old could tell you that this war was not only a terrible idea, but a goddamn affront to everything we stand for. What a wildly insane man.

Just like Vietnam, cut and run. Let the South Vietnamese deal with the North Vietnamese with all their hands tide behind their back. Sad so sad.
