Don't usually post news clips, or rather, talking heads clips, but I thought this deserved a post with recent Glenn beck hating. IMO, Glenn is a good and decent guy, he talks to his viewers like he would talk to you in real life. He doesn't tip toe or play political correctness, he is just himself. Most of his humor reflects that, but he doesn't hold back even though people might use it for ammunition later. He and his producer Stu are a riot when they get together, but they say stuff that could be construed wrong if you didn't know they were joking.
In short, Glenn is a guy you would most likely love to hang with. He is silly, fun and not pretentious. He always talks about his short comings, he doesn't hide his true self at all. More than can be said for most TV personalities. I am a fan, he isn't without his faults, but boiling frogs isn't one of them.

Point: if you or your group are not a target of Glenn's, then I'm sure you'd think he is a hell of a guy.

GeeSussFreeKNot sure I entirely agree with that. I usually see political correctness as half-truthful and side stepping; ingenue. If someone thinks that a political ideology is going to ruin the nation, I would see it as his job to say it directly and passionately. Glenn is both energetic, sarcastic, playful and unrelenting. Sometimes his judgments are incorrect and he will face the music when he finds out. He isn't a well education man, but that is a point he fully admits, frequently. He is however an examiner. He probes things very thoroughly with all outcome being voiced, no matter how absurd, war gaming out all the possible solutions. I have been on the opposite side of his views on things, but I didn't find him to be breaking the golden rule of sorts, then again, I am sarcastic and kinda insensitive at times.
I view most of the hate as a difference of personality mixed with different ideology. He is a nice dude though, there are other talking heads whom are more modest in their mannerisms that I would never care to meet, just nothing there to like. Glenn is pretty polarizing though.
