According to who? They announced it at '2008 Blizzard Entertainment® Worldwide Invitational' in Paris earlier today, showing this plus a 19 minute long gameplay video with developer commentary.
Announcing it at an event like that hardly seems like someone releasing it a day early.

They look better in the HD version of the video available via the diablo3 site, 1280x544. Here's a screencap of the 2 cities around that time point. Not quite big enough to make a wall sized print though. Diablo 3 City 1 and Diablo 3 City 2.

9058Im hella excited but does anyone else kinda see some overlap? I mean this could easily of been a WoW trailer with more of a LOtR's flare to it. Nothing against Blizzard but the whole meteorite is straight from the trailer of the Burning Legion but this time is the Burning Hell...hmm
