Darwinism vs. Lamarckism: cute short about evolution

I realized a few years back that many who don't "believe" in evolution haven't quite gotten hold of what Darwin's theory of 'natural selection' actually is, and is not. This is a nice short explaining the basic difference between Darwin's theory and the prevailing theory for a mechanism of evolution before Darwin's, which was named for scientist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck.

pretty basic video.

Lamarckism wasn't magic (ta-da!) so much as it was an organism using some body parts or features more than another, and passing this history of use to the next generation.

Stretching and stretching throughout its whole life, a short necked giraffe would have baby giraffes with longer necks. It was a pretty straightforward mechanism, but even in its day it was hard to believe.
