Cop vs Cop

A cop tries to arrest another cop with less than optimal results
longdesays...

some backstory:

A case involving an altercation between two police officers at the New Mexico Wine Festival at Bernalillo last month has been turned over to the District Attorneys office in Sandoval County for review.

According to the State Police incident report, Rio Rancho police officer John Francis and Bernalillo police officer Anthony Ortega, who is listed in the report as George Ortega, were involved in a confrontation at the wine festival.

Ortega told State Police officers that he was aware that Francis is a Rio Rancho police officer, but did not know he was on duty and working the event. Francis was working in plain clothes as part of an underage drinking/DWI task force, according to the report.

Ortega missed a mandatory briefing prior to starting his shift that would have made him aware of Francis working at the event. Ortega thought Francis was off-duty and fighting with other attendees.

Ortega then placed Francis in an arm hold and asked him to step back. Francis repeatedly lifted up his shirt to display his badge.

All I hear is "beep de beep de beep derrrr. Respect mah authoritah, derp de derpp derp dee derp. How did I know?"

Something is wrong with Police protocol if it even breaks down between police officers. Maybe they are too aggressive and not calculating enough. Too much in people's bidness and not enough in assessing and understanding the situation. You show up to work late, bud, you got some 'splainin' to do.

"Fuck him." - buddy, respect his authoritah!

Look at the fucking state of the police wherever this is. Forearm tattoos, a "whatever" attitude to screwups ("it doesn't matter, it's on video"), and every single one of them with a nice beer gut.

Urm, the one with the tat, yeah, and the other. But not all of them had beer gut. As far as the tats, in uniform they wear longsleeve which makes your point more than moot (At least that's a common policy. Look at the other cops on duty in black uniforms, i.e., not plain clothes...as far as on duty as detectives, yeah, kind of need those tats.)

But I get your overall point. Only those in black uniforms should have tats, and only the undercovers should be allowed to have beards and/or beer guts.

And something I noticed too---wow, there were a bunch of people at the festival who were, as you say, beer-gutted.
