Though I reject his comparison between ex Walmart managers and soldiers returning from Iraq, it's good he has the conscience to admit the shady practices that go on in these retail environments.

I personally used to work for Electronics Boutique until about 5 years go and there were many staff working up to 60 hour weeks during Christmas for no extra pay! I was younger then and loyal to the company, so I thought I was doing my bit for the team. Later as an assistant manager, when I started marking my workers the hours they actually worked, I was scorned and told, "we all do extra time, that's just the job". Needless to say, my work began to suffer and I left a few months after.

As much as I dislike WalMart, this feels like propaganda to me. I could be wrong. He seems like he's justifying his own shady practices (to himself) by claiming that everyone does the same; clearing his own conscience. All that stuff about pressures and unwritten rules. I dunno. We're all very willing to believe WalMart is the devil. Heck, maybe it is, but this guy is a little off.
