Christian Media Discovers Anime

Christianity used to be a cultural innovator, commissioning cutting edge works from some of the greatest artists and musicians of all time, but these days, they tend to lag 10-20 behind any given popular national fad. This God-awful (pun intended) Christian anime, "Angel Wars" is no exception. via: PoeTV

Also, have you seen Veggie Tales?

Actually much more innovative than this, all things considered.

Says something about their target audience if they decided all on-screen movement should be slowed down by least a factor of 2.

First, I have to say that Veggie Tales are awesome!
Second - My daughter has a Manga Bible she got at a friends church - actualy petty cool illustrating!

Third - And this is my main point - Christianity wasn't so much a "cultural innovator" in art, so much as it was a "Dictatorship". Back in the day, The church told you what you could or couldn't paint. You didn't have a choice, they dictated the painting style, the content, everything.
