'Body artist Trina Merry makes her models blend seamlessly into the Manhattan skyline as if they too are made of glass, concrete and steel. It is truly extraordinary, as you will see for yourself in the images and video that follow. It also helps that New York City’s relaxed laws allow people to take their clothes off for the sake of art.
The 33-year-old artist has placed her models in front of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, Central Park, the Guggenheim Museum and the iconic towers of downtown Manhattan, making them meld into the background. And it’s a painstaking work, as the models have to be painted right there on the streets in a process that can easily take several hours and can attract plenty of unwanted attention.
Ms. Merry recently moved to New York from the San Francisco area and she wanted to explore the city, but in her own way.' (
