NTBsays...I could listen to this all day.
daphnesays...A good friend of mine saw them live...she said it was the best show she had ever seen.
therealblankmansays...I worked with the Blue Men in Toronto last year- never had so much fun onstage.
daphnesays...If you say it was on the Playstation, I'm going to hit you.
therealblankmansays...No, real life. My company landed the contract to provide crew and front-of-house staff for their new theatre. They shipped me out from Vancouver to handle hiring and administration of new staff. I'm a hands-on administrator type, so I helped out the crew on a couple of occasions, and got called out onstage with the rest of them for the curtain-calls. Very, very cool.
daphnesays...How cool! That is so fantastic. I'll bet that show was incredible to work on. I've yet to see them live, but it's at the top of my list.
therealblankmansays...They've got a couple of touring shows on the road, and permanent shows in Toronto, New York, Vegas and London- maybe more. Check their website for particulars. I've worked in theatre for, oh going on 18 years or so, and the I can say that the Blue Men put on the most entertaining show I've ever attended.
NTBsays...Very cool.
theo47says...I used to live around the corner from the theater where they set up in shop in Chicago, and I remember hearing about them holding open auditions for new Blue Men.
I played drums in high school (and I was good), and I still kick myself for not checking it out.
therealblankmansays...They are always looking for new Blue Men- I've witnessed many rounds of open auditions in Toronto. They don't just need Blue guys, but they need musicians for the band as well. Go for it! Oh, and there is even at least 1 Blue chick, so women are encouraged to audition as well- you just have to fit their body-type requirements. Check here for details... http://www.bluemancasting.com/
theo47says...I'm familiar with the requirements - they were on the audition sheet!
If I still lived in Chicago, I would totally go for it - but I'm in Cincinnati now, and I'm lucky if the Blue Men come through one night a year on tour.
therealblankmansays...This is my favorite BMG video here... http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=12371&where=queue
