Battlefield! I adored this series when I first saw it. A documentary that doesn't pull punches with the nerdy details.

And with regards to the Battle of Stalingrad -- it was the greatest drama in World War 2, which was the greatest drama in human history. I guess you could argue that the Battle of Midway was likewise a turning point in the war, but the scale and horror of the Battle of Stalingrad are exceptional
