I think instead of glorifying the mistakes that the Kennedy administration, it works to show the mistakes to the public. Not only that, the mistakes that were made are very similar to the mistakes being made by today's Bush administration. It works to show that we are in a precarious position right now, and that we need to wake up to really see what is going on.
