$5 Dollar Burglar Alarm

You don’t have to spend a lot for a burglar alarm actually, 5 bucks is enough. Best of all no soldering is required, unless you want to make a neat and proper one.

omg this reminds me of those 100-1 electronics toy kits that I used to have as a kid. i'd make a "spy mic" that only required me to stealthily place a 1'-2' electronics board in the same room as my target and then run 100' of wire back to my surveillance nest... MUAHA

Just as an FYI, I'd recommend either putting the string NOT where a chain/slide lock would be (some burglars look for these and chop them with bolt cutters), or even better, make sure the string is tight, so that before the door is even open a crack the alarm goes off.
