I never saw that many. You're confusing hippies for well-to-do urbanites in 100 degree desert freak wear. However, this year is host to the ridiculous "Green Man" theme. Completely contradicts the principles of consumption and debauchery that attract most attendees.

Dude, I've been there twice, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Where did I mention that consumption and debauchery are a bad thing? But I'm not going to delude myself about what ultimately goes on there. It's wasteful and indulgent, like any massive entertainment event. It is not, in the slightest way imaginable, a hippie's wet dream.

and with that, 1900 pounds of carbon dioxide is created in the atmosphere. Yeah, just under a ton of Co2.
