Ellen Page Interview on The Colbert Report

That man is known to carry a copy of W Strunk and E B White's The Elements of Style with him (if only for dramatic effect.) Source.

Your word of the day: Malapropism. I know Colbert is a comedian to the core, but to be able to just throw that out mid interview is amazing.

What's up?

I really like MIA, she's one of my favorite artists, I used to listen to Kala nearly every day on the way home from work on the train, and this is probably the best song on the album (imo). It just doesn't seem to blend well with the 'springy' upbeat nature of Vampire Weekend because, for me, MIA is gritty and tries to get across a message and this is hard to listen for when you have their persistent rock beat going on. It kind of leaves no time to reflect on what Paper Planes message is - if that makes sense.
Still upvoted because the mix is well done, and of course MIA rules

Ahh, gotcha. I kinda like it when the tone of the song completely changes though

I have a huge distaste for ska music. And I can totally see the similarity to ska... but something about what they are doing here makes me absolutely love it. Good stuff.

No, there's no similarity to ska. this is just plain old pop music. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not ska.
