It's the kind of semi-live that electronica artists tend to do. There are so many instruments that it would require 20+ musicians to play it "real live". Just take a look at J-M Jarres concert where every sound was made live (sorry couldn't find a link).. It is still shame that they don't play the themes. The performance is more "meta", where the actual melodies are not played but their intonation, the emotion part of the sound is manipulated live (timbre, levels, effects etc.)

So to asnwer that, no it isn't "live" but it is live performance.. It all depends on the individuals own definition of live performance... Most electronic artists do their live in this format and as a performer my self, it certainly is as intense as old school live gigs, maybe even more as the technology is fragile.. Anything can go wrong by simply pressing one wrong button, just like in every other kind of performance..

I want to see more of the video. I could see someone taking advantage of a loud bang and a flash in their direction to make a scene on camera.

That said, I used to live in the Bay Area. People avoid Oakland like nothing else. There is enough prejudice, racism, violence and murderous underworld there that it's like Northern California's own piece of Southeast LA. More so in some cases given that it doesn't get nearly as much press, and so a lot of things go down there that the media doesn't even cover.

I feel for the guy if this really went down the way we're told. I don't feel that any of us can rest without the entirety of the United States police force receiving massive legal repercussions and official reprimandation for the numerous offenses we've seen throughout this "occupy" fiasco. If this is what the bottom line comes down to for the majority of urban police in the US, then fuck them all. They are absolutely no different than the people they imprison, right down to those who share the same feelings as common citizens but still give silent compliance to these actions.

Argh, no! Sorry, but one of my pet peeves is giving musical credit to whom it's due in film scoring... Adagio in D Minor was first written by Underworld and John Murphy specifically for the OST of the magnificent and underrated film Sunshine by Danny Boyle.
It has since been "stolen" to score a myriad of other films/trailers/series (e.g. Kick-Ass, The Adjustment Bureau, Fringe, etc etc). It has a history akin to Clint Mansell's RFaD score; created with a specific film in mind, beautifully fitting, then reused for other films with mixed results. I love it when great music gets around, but I do find it a bizarre experience when I'm watching a film and all of a sudden the music of another comes on... kind of breaks the suspension of disbelief quite frankly.

The MPAA needs to be abolished and replaced with something government controlled with oversight. Sound's like a fucking Underworld Mob the way it's run now.

I like how the music started to waiver and slowdown at the end there. I was just talking to some friends last night about how it could be difficult to differentiate real news from parody news soon when real 3D gaming comes along games are going to become a strange drug, indeed. Anyway, did this miss Ultima Underworld. I think it diiiiiiiddddd!!
