You sound like a Fox News propagandist. No, really, you do. To compare Sara-lie-cheat-crazy Palin and Ron Paul... I think that is right in Beck's play book (Like when Beck compares people to Hitler that don't deserve it...)

Populist? McCain was populist. Obama? Populist. Ron Paul. Well, if that's populist, then I guess I don't know the word.

He wants to stop the drug war. To me and you, that may be a great idea; to the average person? That is unelectable. Pull the troops back? Great for Democrats, but not for his own party's supporters who vote him in. Cut regulation so that "too big to fail" businesses drown if they actually fail? Banks hate it, and the people don't care because they think this propped-up "capitalism" is actually a free market. And Gitmo? Closing it also makes his base, and most democrats, cringe too...

The best part, his most un-populist ideas (Monetary gold system for one) would never flesh out in Congress. So all that would happen is: Gitmo would close, the wars would end, social programs would be paired down, aid to other nations would fall, etc... In other words, all that would happen are the things Democrats and Republicans like...

Now if you would have said, "Ron Paul is a nice guy, more honest than most, and because of this he won't get elected," I would completely agree. To me, he is boring, he is nice, he is the lesser scandal. And so--he won't win. In fact, in a certain morbid way, I hope he does not. He deserves more than this rotten country gives.

I fail to see where his views are popular when his motto basically is, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but get off your ass and do for your country and self." There are no handouts to corporations, people or other nations... It's why he lost last time.

@ Netrunner and Jigga; this is not so much about one or two or five-hundred people. This is about societal rhetoric. Here is a post I placed elsewhere.

Sara Palin is just a woman on a path to wealth and power---not any different than most men and women out there. How she does it isn't even unique either. I am speaking of society here, of us all.

Many just lay blame at this guy's mental instability, but here is a truth, or barring that, here is a statement that is not incorrect. "You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. However, if the horse does drink, then you are the one that led him to the water."

My wife and I were talking the old schoolyard days. She mentioned a girl who always treated everyone nice. I listened and asked "Why is she nice?" My wife responded, "Because she never made fun of anyone or hurt anyone." I replied, "That is not nice, that is indifferent because she also never helped anyone but herself. And who did she hang out with?" And I answered for my wife. "She hung out with the bullies, the preps, and the kind of guys who would violate the weak with hockey sticks. Although I was never bullied, I know they were merciless. Now,dear, how can they be merciless? Because its popular. Because without this girl's attention, and every other "nice" girl's attention, their attitudes would change. But she encourages it, facilitates it, and does that make her a nice girl? It is just the same reason there are no "nice" guys left, because they finish last."

The "nice" girl in this story never realized she actively, unconsciously supported the Tards in school---but personal responsibility says she did. So I blame her for the punches and kicks others received? Not directly, but she had a part.

This nut job could have easily been offended by Gifford's "conservative" side, and took Alan Grayson's argument, and other left's too, and decided Gifford must die.

The problem was/is, the mentally ill are very easily manipulated, even when one does not know they are manipulating them. All he hears is "truthful" banter. He cannot see rhetoric. He believes. It is like giving a 20 dollar bill to a blind man. And so his actions are based on our lies. Of course "we" can tell which statements are lies---but as the years progress, less and less are able to because the truth is told less and less. Then, even the sane (Like nowadays) start believing the hype.

This was a hot potato over money, and Sara Palin got caught with the "bullet potato." Sad it had to happen.

Ron Paul says what he believes, I'll give him great props for that. Some of the time he gets it right and he's the lone voice of sanity in the wilderness. But a LOT of the things he says are just kooky, that's why he doesn't get elected. He believes that things like the BP oil spill would be LESS likely to happen with LESS regulation. He thinks that the free market will do a better job of regulating than the government can do. He's a loveable nut, fun to watch and like I said, sometimes, like now he gets it right.

Let's be honest now... I will tell you why he never gets elected, even though most of us know and just deny it. We love our drama--Paul is boring in his decency. We love our ambigious policy. How dare he state his beliefs against the death penalty, or that states should regulate gay marriage and abortion instead of the federal government (That is to the republicans...) And how dare he state his beliefs on currency and true deficit reduction and such... (To democrats.)

Paul is not a poster child and will never be elected president by a people who love the staple... We are fat because we want to be, lazy, double-standard, ignorant---and we transfer that to the polls.

Now, I do not agree with Paul 100% either, I think he is perhaps 70% right at most, but him versus Sara-idoit Palin or Barrack just-like-every-other-pol-Obama?

Find me a person 10 times better, and that is Paul. Find me someone better than Paul---and I will vote for him. Now his son... I could cry...

You guys listen to the right/left to much. You need to watch Fox/MSNBC for the truth. I wonder if you pick up the Washington Times/Bible at all. I have herpes/aids. I like Sara Palin for her tits/brains. I think Sara Palin is a good/bad politician.

I was privileged to know a very special little girl about ten years ago named Sara who had a double lung and heart transplant.
Her story was so incredible...she lived for several years after the "successful" transplant but it was very difficult to keep her body from rejecting the organs.
She had vivid memories of the little girl's life from whom she got the organs, so detailed in fact that Sara's family connected with the little girl's family and discovered that they were in fact authentic. Things like that definitely affect you in ways that are not conveyable in words.

I also think it's rather small minded (from a feminist mind, who you'd think would be very open) to suggest that the films 'have a female presence' if they have 2 named women pop up and have a chat.
