Guy plays well known songs ON THE FIDDLE! holy sh*t

Oatmeal says...

I watched that Yang vid, and its not a similar style at all, DePue uses the bow to create a drumlike rythm and manages to play melody on top of the background parts. It's truly amazing what he does. Yang just plays a guitar solo on the violin. And its not like a "jumping on a bandwagon" thing, he probably didn't see the yang vid and go "I sholud do that!" this kind of thing takes years of practice and incredible skill.

You sort of develop a rythm after a while, it's become my mantra.

Fantasy In D Minor Composed by Mozart - Played by 10 Year Old

Why assume that all talented kids are forced to practice?

If you really like something and want to get good at it nobody has to impose it on you.

And while you say this is more "worthwhile" than DDR, this game (and the sort like: Beatmania, DJMAX, O2Jam, etc) exercises your rythm, coordination, reflexes, concentration and flexibility similar to piano, and kids aren't forced to play them (quite the opposite sometimes) because they are fun!
