I've been snorkeling loads of times, and while I don't really have any problems with the standard/basic equipment, this looks like a cool idea and definitely easier for first-timers.

I don't think it looks difficult to maintain -- with a normal mask, the secret that often goes untold due to sanitary reasons I suppose is that the best way to clean them and to prevent fog-up is to spit in there, rub it around, and then give it a quick saltwater rinse. If the anti-fogging mechanism of this works well, then you could just skip that step. If it doesn't work as advertised, well, I guess the spit technique would still hold up just fine.

As for maintaining/cleaning the breathing lines, I would imagine that they can be flushed with water. I don't think I've ever worried about that with a normal snorkel, I don't really see why this would be different.

The issue with increased difficulty in pressure equalization (since you can't plug your nose) is a problem, but I'd say the target audience for this product is newcomers to snorkeling, and they are probably not going to be the type to do much diving down past the 6-12 foot depth where that will be an important issue.

The only other thing that I can think of is that with a normal snorkel, clearing water from the tube is pretty easy with a big exhaled blow. If water gets into this thing, for whatever reason, I dunno if it is possible to clear it without surfacing and taking the whole thing off.

I have tried to ignore this user, to no avail. We agreed together to no longer 'private message' each other on our profile page long ago, an agreement Ching was wholly unable to fulfill, as he constantly posts outrageous, insulting, vulgarity filled private messages to my profile (and in public in response to most of my comments, which he seems pathologically incapable of not insulting or degrading with outrageous vulgarity and vitriol). Sometimes he realizes he has gone way too far and tries to edit away the vulgar insults before they're immortalized, which is at least in part what hobbling is about right? Ching is unable to not personally insult, personally attack, or to be reasonable or respectful for more than one short post at a time (followed by at least a day of ranting insults, attacks, and vulgarity).
I often do comment about Ching's behavior/posts, but not his person. I don't know him, I only know his actions here.
I've also been a sifter since near the onset of the site, and I've never been banned! I just didn't sign up for a membership for years while I 'lurked'. I don't see how that makes a difference, this is about behavior. Ching's behavior is far beyond site guidelines....until now I've let that slide with only my words to him in response. Because he is now ramping it up again, any further "private" message, or trolling my comments will have me begin a push for actual action against Ching. He's just getting out of control and his vitriol is building. He alone is making the sift a far less pleasant place for many.
Consider this, I or others may be on the autism spectrum, is ridiculing the mentally challenged with vulgarity and personal insult proper or respectful?

Small concert venues are notorious for awful conditions and whatever monopoly controls venue booking in your country will ensure your booking fees are extortionate.

I mean the fact that ear plugs are pretty much a pre-requisite for most indoor events shows how little thought goes in.

I suppose the attitude is, when there's one venue for a band you might never get to see live again, you'll put up with and pay anything.

I do also think it's effing awesome-There's after-market fits for other guitars beside a Gibson, unless you just want a Les Paul or SG (personally, love the action and tone and fretboard on a classic SG because it's wide and smooth all the way up the neck, and because Zappa played hardly anything else).

If you play a lot though and on an axe you know, and I tend to tune a lot between hammerins', you get really fast at getting the thing back in tune becasue you sense the one or two strings that need attention and are always tuning them back between bending the hell out of em.

I DO dig these for the variety of tunings over the perfect pitchitude aspect of it, especially for a go-to rock guitar. It's got like what, five standard tunings plugged-in??

My Suburban had three heaters in it... a battery, oil pan and something else... never looked where it went, block?

In Fairbanks, they have plugs available in some parking lots.

It only gets colder the higher up you go... which seems kind of counter as to what thermodynamics teaches you.

My car is plugged in, keeps the oil in a fluidic runny state, people also plug their battery's into a battery warmer, Batteries use a chemical reaction and when it is -25 Celsius.. batteries do not work so well- LIKE MINE ! I disconnect it and just bring it inside.

I heard some regions of Canada plug in their cars to electrical outlets to help protect them overnight.
