Judge Pronounced Trump Guilty Before Trial Began!

newtboy says...

🤦‍♂️No bob, they are not. THE FACTS WERE NOT DISPUTED BY TRUMP OR THE TRUMP ORG AT ALL, not in court…he submitted most of them.
Trump disputes the facts on camera, but not in court under oath. He can’t. The documents are what they are. He was too cowardly and guilty to take the stand…his smartest move yet.
Trump valued Maralago at $18 million for taxes, not the DA. He also valued it at 100 times that value to get good loan terms that saved him hundreds of millions the banks and county were then deprived of because of his fraud. Understand? I’m sure not.
I did the math, if his stated bank values are truthful, he defrauded the government out of well over $700 million in decades of unpaid taxes for one property.

What was presented during the prosecution “side” of the “hearing” bob? Nothing…because there was no prosecution phase, it was summary judgement based on what was presented by both parties during DISCOVERY. There has only been a “damages” phase of trial since the prima facie case made at discovery necessitated a sumary judgement…not a “prosecution side”.

Bob. This is civil court, not a criminal trial. Please stop trying to explain things you are wholly ignorant about.

In your example, a criminal trial with different rules, the defense could be you didn’t see them, or they dove in front of your moving car, or you were having a medical issue….or one of a thousand mitigating factors. Trump presented no mitigating factors explaining the frauds, the differing values that changed 10000% in value on paper with his signature swearing to the truthfulness of the values he presented, values he knew were fantasy, so was found guilty.
(Side note- in your example the victim’s heirs would also get a civil trial where prima facie guilt would be established by the witnesses and your admission you hit them and you would need to have evidence supporting your affirmative defense that it was under duress to evade liability, just as they would need to prove malicious intent or recklessness to get punitive damages, IMO).

😂 “Property values can’t be fraud in any way”. 😂 hilarious since submitting fraudulent values is exactly what he was found guilty of! 😂

The banks indicated massive fraud, who told you they didn’t? Trump? The banks lost over $180 million in interest they should have received if the collateral values had been correct. Yes, they made some money, but lost out on $180 million plus.
When you get a loan based on fraud like this, even if you pay it back you still comitted a crime and any penny you made from that crime can be recovered from you, exactly what’s happening.
It’s as if Trump submitted documents “proving” his credit rating was 800 but in fact it was below 400, then saying it’s no crime because he paid his low interest credit card bills, pay no attention to the lower rates and perks he received because of his fraud, they’re nothingburgers…$180 million nothing burgers.

This is a BS showman disgraced ex president caught red handed. You know it, he knows it. No one is blinded, you are simply dishonest.

What of me statement are bullshit or not in this hearing/case?
The disclaimers don’t mean Trump can just make up the numbers, like he did. I know he claims that, he already lost that point in court. He gave fraudulent numbers, values, square footage, claimed unpermitted unbuilt rentals were filled and collecting rent, claims he didn’t add “brand value” but it’s there listed on the documents.

lol. You get your “information” from crack heads, failed comedians turned pundits, and con men like rapist Trump. I get mine directly from the courts, then verify, then look at what nonsense MAGA is saying about it, then debunk your nonsense. Stop projecting. I’m not stupid. I’m no dick. I have almost no ego. I simply hate stupid lies and the stupid lying liars who lie them stupidly and I have the testicular fortitude and perspicacity to factually contradict them with facts, figures, and references.

You don’t ever look for shit, you liar. You take what the MAGA machine hands you and you say what they said to say. You haven’t had an individual thought since you’ve been posting here, not one. Every word you post can be found in the MAGAsphere written by someone else who makes money by telling you lies to repeat.

Yes, Trump was found guilty during discovery before the courtroom trial began, which is perfectly normal and reasonable in cases where the evidence is incontrovertible like this one. That’s the United States legal system, no surprise you don’t understand it….you don’t understand thing about my country.

Now whine that he couldn’t have a jury trial just because he didn’t ask for one until after his trial had started. So unfair! 😂

bobknight33 said:

But the facts are disputed , which mitigates the ability of the judge to make such decision. This was presented during the 11 weeks of the prosecution side of this hearing.

It only work is such cases as for example 5 people see me run over and kill someone. That is not is dispute.
What is or could be to mitigate my conviction is to show just cause -- IE being robed at gunpoint or such.

This "trial" is about property value. This cant be fraud in any way. Trump places a value and banks do the same and an agreement is made. No bank or lender indicated fraud -- Every bank got paid back, with interest and some made other deals on other projects.

This is a BS show trial. prejudged before it even started.

Only the ignorant are blinded.

All you statement below are bullshit -- none of that in this hearing. Every proposal for loans clearly had disclaimers for banks to do their own due diligence in their evaluation. Some thought higher some though lower-- but all made loans and got paid back.

Sadly stupid dicks with big egos, like you push false information.

I look for actual facts like presented -- Her own words - Trump Guilty before the trial began-- Thats BS

ROTFLMFAHS. I didn’t even notice how you changed my post to be as idiotic as you.

Teaching 4 grades (do you mean 4th graders?) to be gay…..I want to know exactly how you teach someone to be gay…since you claim to know. Are they putting little boys in dark rooms and having naked women beat them mercilessly? Are they feeding them jello boobs with shards of glass inside? How, exactly, does one teach another person their own sexuality? More evidence you know nothing but talking points you don’t comprehend one bit.

(Btw- I learned about sex by age 6, and homosexuality by age 9 or before. I didn’t have unwanted children, never caught a VD, and didn’t become gay. Knowing the mechanics and consequences of sex, both heterosexual and homosexual, let me make informed decisions that served me well. I did constantly have adult conversations with adults who all were shocked I could hold my own in an adult conversation…including when I audited college courses in 7th grade and was shocked how little college students knew…I was told I was 11 going on 40 repeatedly. There was no reason whatsoever to “shield” me from any knowledge, only a reason to help me assimilate what I learned. I am not unique in that.)

How to kill and get away with it? You mean murder mysteries, history, or critical thinking? I would counter that Trump taught us all how to kill a million Americans through negligence and lies and get away with it, and you would give him a medal. You don’t care about murders. Name the book that reads as a “how to get away with murder” and not “how to get caught committing murder”. The news teaches that, you don’t want to ban news….or do you?

Name the book that glorifies and normalizes debauchery and rape that’s being taught in school….or do you mean the Bible which I agreed should not be taught in schools. Any book that teaches politics of the last 25 years would include those topics to describe Republican politicians.

Parents have a right to stupidly deny THEIR children access to certain knowledge, not to deny it from others. Your love of ignorance is not a mandate for others to remain ignorant. You would return to the dark ages when only (often wrong) church approved “knowledge” was allowed, and that only for the privileged. Just so dumb and ignorant of you.
You want to be ignorant, you be you. You want to make your children ignorant, that’s a perk of being a parent, you can abuse your own children as you see fit (within limits). You want to force other children to be ignorant, fuck right off you braying moron.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! Over 40 TOP SECRET CLASSIFIED FOLDERS were found EMPTY and 23 “return to staff secretary/military aid” folders were also found empty (so military secrets) meaning he stole the documents and spread them around, mixed them with personal papers, sold them, gave them away, lost them, or just let foreign agents walk through and take them as a perk of being his guest at Maralago. He did not steal empty folders.

Every day more treasonous, anti American evidence comes to light, every day you squeeze your eyes tighter shut and ram your fingers in your ears and just scream “nonononononononono. Fake news fake news fake news. Lalalalalalala.”

You ignored the election frauds. You ignored the election fraud fraud. You ignored the coup. You ignored and supported the cries for Trump’s reinstatement or another election just because he says so. I’m sure you’ll ignore these hundreds of instances of intentional crimes 10000 times worse than Clinton’s minor mistakes, pretend espionage is nothing, national security is unimportant, and you’ll say they’re only going after Trump for these hundreds of treasonous, firing squad level attacks against America to stop him from running again, not because they’re all death penalty crimes he definitely committed, and likely MUCH WORSE seeing that well over 60 folders are EMPTY, the secrets already disseminated. Those state secrets already in Putin and the Ayatollah’s hands.

Side note: it’s turning out that inflation in red states like AZ and Texas is MUCH higher than blue states….once again, so much for blaming Democrats. Every accusation you lob is an admission.

Also, one of the voting machines that the Republican candidate for Michigan AG stole and tampered with after the 2020 election was just sold on eBay by a man who bought it from Goidwill. His group called Republican clerks claiming to be Republican representatives who needed to inspect voting machines for fraud, and the clerks were happy to turn them over without any paperwork or verification of who they gave them to. His team then disassembled them in air bnbs and hotels (didn’t want their homes or offices to be part of their crime spree) tampered with them, copied the software and photographed (and more) the hardware. The AG has said these machines were damaged, tampered with, and in some cases “lost”. The Republican that led this scam/fraud/election interference is now the Republican candidate for AG.
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/08/us/politics/matthew-deperno-dana-nessel-michigan.html
So, be clear, invalidate him for AG? Or is “wrong is wrong” just a thing you say to distract from supporting criminals in government? If “wrong is wrong”, and this criminal shouldn’t be on the ballot, certainly you can see putting forth an election fraudster as candidate for AG is wrong….so how can you support the criminal, “wrong” Republican Party at all.

Aaaahaha. Have you seen Eric's interview yesterday trying to defend Weisselberg? He's so dumb he actually publicly admitted the company paid him under the table and gave him millions in unreported perks and salary to avoid taxes....$3.5 million in unreported salary with cars, opulent houses, tuition for his family members totalling $359,058, etc. Eric doesn't think >$3.5 million hidden from the IRS is even an infraction....that's more than the average worker makes in their lifetime....Imagine if you fraudulently reported never making a dime your entire career, imagine if a Democrat did that....what should happen to such a criminal? What should happen to the business owner who organised the secret payments?

It makes one wonder how much Eric doesn't report if $3.5 million hidden from the IRS is nothing to him. He, Don jr, and Ivanka were all top level executives during Weisselberg's time there, and all received the same off the books compensation or more, and also had oversight over all these illicit secret payments just like Daddy....prosecutors have the secret record books, Weisselberg left them for his estranged daughter to find and turn over...that's where these charges come from, their own off the books records their crooked accountant kept at home. Expect them to be next, and do you really think they won't flip on Daddy to avoid prison? LMFAHS!

Hilariously he, in efforts to minimise these massive massive financial crimes, admitted his father personally paid Weisselberg's family's tuition as a company perk with personal checks signed by Don himself, indicating there's physical evidence of daddy's personal involvement in a long term tax fraud scheme that's not just felony tax fraud but grand larceny.

And we haven't even gotten to the bank frauds Trump's already publicly admitted to, overvaluing properties on loan forms, then undervaluing them on tax forms. He calls it good business and claims everyone does it, not tax and banking fraud that are serious felonies most people wouldn't even consider. It's sure going to be a fun couple of years watching the whole group go bankrupt and to prison.

Imagine if Clinton had done this...how many congressional investigations would we have had by now? Instead, Republicans don't even want to know what happened Jan 6, probably because any investigations will show their involvement in the failed coup, that's definitely how it looks. They certainly don't want to know about Trump's tax and bank frauds because a felon can't be president and they've got no one else.

im gonna butt in here with my 2 cents

they are miscommunicating intentionally for attention, but thats what makes it a brilliant propaganda/publicity play. they are turning christianity symbolism against it using the same perks and loopholes churches use to parody and provoke their beliefs. If they came out in suits and said none of us believe in satan this is all just a joke it wouldnt have the same effect. is that any different than many christians who go to church and identify themselves as but dont really believe or follow the supposed teachings?

Pandering more than slightly to the FPS puritan crowd. There doesn't seem to be any frilly bullshit going on - the type that drives oldschool FPS players crazy like calling in air strikes, perks, experience, head bob and realistic climbing motions, reality physics.

I mean i'm forever bitching about how most FPS these days make you feel like you're waist deep in treacle, nothing feels crisp and reactive. I complain that in the old days we didn't have crowd control effects where you'd take your hands off the mouse&keyboard for up to 5 seconds because of someone's second special attack or 'ultimate'. Or that one hero type will always beat another hero type - I was in top teams/national teams for both HLTFC and TF2, i know my stuff regarding class based team FPS, i'm not just talking shit/whining there.

They ram those statements home at the end - pure speed, pure skill, pure fps. I don't believe it for one second, but they clearly want people like me to be hyped over this.

@Jinx

I am a bit confused. Earlier you used the word "conned" to describe the game, now you say it's not a hoax.

Aside from that, you certainly have voiced legitimate concerns. I'm also sick and tired of the usual pre-order business model. I decided that after playing the utter mess that was the Halo: Master Chief Collection for Xbox that I would never pre-order a game again. It's one thing to buy a game on day one, but yeah, in the usual sense, pre-orders need to die.

Thing is though...this is a kickstarter, thus the rules are different, by it's very nature, you HAVE to sell promises and pre-orders, or at the very least, contribution promises/swag/perks/etc. It's an alternative to going to a publisher and begging them for money to make the game and risk having the publisher exert creative control over the game/product/etc and whatever other compromises a publisher might force a developer to make. How many games have been utter shite because the publisher meddled and forced a game out before it was ready. Too many.

With kickstarters, it's the other way around. Backers demand that a game not be released before it's ready, but now the hype train has to start chugging along WAY earlier than a publisher-backed game in order to generate interest, because now the publishers are the backers and this is happening long before a game even gets to an alpha stage.

There is a risk with any kickstarter. If it was anyone other than Chris Roberts, I doubt I would have backed it. I backed the Shadowrun games mainly because it was being run by the guy who created the game originally and that turned out to be successful...twice. I'll be going for the hat-trick with the Battletech game they're working on now. Chris Roberts and Jordan Weisman both have solid reputations and have demonstrated they can make solid games. If it was Derek Smart or someone relatively unknown, I doubt I would have backed.

I find it interesting how the detractors are coming from various levels. Some of the detractors seem to be against kickstarters in general. Some seem to be against SC specifically and I think others are simply against it just because they want to see something ambitious crash and burn....and then there's Derek Smart who seems to have a personal, unhinged, vendetta against Chris Roberts.

Regardless of how successful SC will or won't be. SC is still a niche game by the very fact that it's a space sim. Even if it is a complete and total success, it's going to be a very complex game with a crazy amount of information to absorb and it will be difficult to be good at it. It is not for the casual gamer. So it will never reach mass appeal or become a widely recognized franchise like, say, Halo or Call of Duty. I think that is part of the appeal. A couple decades ago, publishers as a whole gave space sims the middle finger, but now thanks to crowdfunding, space sims are making a comeback.

Roberts has clearly tapped into something or people wouldn't be giving him money. He originally only asked for 2 million dollars, so even he didn't think it was going to be this big. (Europe is going absolutely bonkers for Space Citizen, they're way more into SC than we are in America)

Rubik's Cube Magician Steven Brundage fools Penn & Teller...

kceaton1 says...

As for more ideas; I didn't hear if the Rubik's Cubes were random (as in P & T went and bought their own for this trick). If he brought his own Cubes, then things change again. Since after all he could be engineering Rubik's Cubes with some added perks.

It'd require some pretty good "quirky" engineering knowledge (and BTW, this is quite common with magicians)... But he may be able to make a Rubik's Cube that with a touch to a button, change in acceleration, heat & cold, etcetera, perform many simple yet crucial tricks to complete his act.

Anyway, it all depends on what his goal is for the Cube. He may NOT want a Cube that solves itself instantly with a press of the button (plus that may be a little too much over-engineered). But, you could have stickers that switch color via various means, like a switch based on temperature.

It all depends as well as what is available out there. There are a lot of very tricky things you could accomplish if you truly had the ability to get some of these items.

It's very hard to tell you what types of abilities this Cube could have; it's probably easier to tell you what features it wouldn't have based on the performance we saw (like I said, one that "solves itself" would more than likely be over-engineered)...

But, to me it's far more easier to see it via a extraordinary ability in sleight of hand and an extreme amount of experience with a Rubik's Cube (go look at Rubik Cube videos; there are a lot of people that do very neat things with Rubik's Cube...).

How about a little love for long-time but low-star members? (Sift Talk Post)

MilkmanDan says...

Downvoting is an interesting case that I thought about quite a bit.

I think it *could* go to the Regular Member level, but I'm fine with it staying at Bronze Star because:
* Downvoting is a bit more subject to abuse than the bookkeeping invocations I mentioned before, mainly because it can auto-discard things that get downvoted early. Right?
* IF downvoting was as integral a function as upvoting, I'd say that regular members should get it. BUT, either by design or just as the emergent de-facto standard, it isn't used very much -- even amongst those that have access to it.
* There are some exceptions to that trend, like, say, @ant. Even though that seems to get under some people's skin, I like the way ant uses downvoting -- especially when considered to be a perk reserved for the real upper echelons of contributing members.
* BUT, all of that is primarily relevant to *video* downvoting. *Comment* downvoting isn't as critical / exploitable, so it seems like that could be made available to members before they can downvote videos. I would sometimes like to have that ability, but if the powers that be feel that it should be reserved for Star-level, I don't feel strongly enough about it to push.

I think that's probably all my thoughts on the topic. Thanks again to @Retroboy for bringing it up for discussion, and to @lucky760 / dag et al. for considering it.
