There is that tutting again, in a modern dance context. The second couple -- I don't know what was going on, but they sure did.

Have you had that experience ever? Of watching something that you don't really understand, but the artists do, down to their bones, and so they are mesmerizing?

Contrasted with artists who are deliberately obscure because I am a mere plebe and can't understand -- or whatever the motivation or execution. My inability to understand sometimes gets me mad at the artist.

I find it an interesting difference.

Often not, but that one worked just fine, and thanks

I would certainly have shared that one with you if I'd found it first.

John Lennon da Silva -- Black Swan hip hop

westy says...

Im sure its really hard what he did but it was compelaty out of time to the music , if he structured this properly so that the dance had some veration to it peeks and troughfs with the music then it would be really good.

is it was it was just unimaginative and the dude crying was simpyl brain washed by the music.

It would defintly be nice for more street dancers to perform to clasical music or aply modern dance to clasical songs but if they are going to they are going to have to be slighty more sophisticated then this.

There is a glaring channel omission (Sift Talk Post)

I have been thinking about this when I was removing videos from Bravo the other day. For me ballet was a logical addition to Bravo's remit but I don't want Morris dancing, tap, bodypopping, stuff like that. I'll keep modern dance in there but once someone makes the channel it should all go there and I'll remove everything bar ballet.
The world of dance is just too broad and deep to post in Bravo.

Ahh, didn't realize you were going to take most of the dance out of bravo and put it in the dance channel. Definitely agree. *Quality idea.

I thought dance was covered under Bravo:
"Bravo! Classical music and more

Welcome to the high culture channel where we rejoice in opera, classical, dance and musical theatre.
Enjoy the many gems that sifters have found.
Bravo!"
And art as well.

You're welcome. I love watching dance, particularly modern dance and the performance with the Solaris music was excellent. Keep 'em coming, I have a power point handy!

thanks for supporting the dance vids! there's more where all that came from. i'm trying not to post it all too close together since the sift seems to have a short attention span for that kind of thing.

Korean Exhibitionist

Looks like some sort of infusion between ballet and modern dance.

Another Korean vid that's related to dancing. I wouldn't be surprised if the lady in the vid was IssyKitty.

I'm telling you, all Koreans know how to dance it seems.

World of Warcraft Dances with Source Dances

Naaa...WOW isn't a video game. It's a drug. As for the dancing styles, I don't understand why the designers thought it was good idea to put in modern dance moves into a realm where the world of JRR Tolkien seems to be the style.
